Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation 1982 Centennial Blend Pipe Tobacco
The 1982 Centennial Blend marks an important year for the Stokkebye family — a century since the business first began trading tobacco in 1882. The mixture was created as part of the 4th Generation range to recognise that milestone and the long Danish blending tradition behind it.
The tobacco itself is a loose ribbon-cut mixture of Virginias, Burleys and black Cavendish. The Virginias bring a gentle natural sweetness, the Burley provides body and balance, and the Cavendish smooths the whole thing out so it behaves well in the bowl.
A light aromatic touch of honey and fruit sits over the blend, giving it a mellow sweetness and an easy-going character. It packs without much effort, lights cleanly, and settles into a steady smoke once it’s underway.
