Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation 1931 Erik Peter’s Flake Pipe Tobacco
The 4th Generation range follows the Stokkebye family’s long involvement in tobacco, and the 1931 blend marks the birth year of Erik Peter Stokkebye. It’s one of the more traditional mixtures in the series — a proper flake built on Virginia leaf with a supporting measure of Burley and Perique.
The Virginias provide the natural sweetness and body, the Burley steadies things with a slightly nutty character, and the Perique adds a quiet peppery edge that keeps the bowl interesting. A light touch of honey sits over the blend, rounding the smoke rather than dominating it.
Pressed as a flake and sold here loose, it packs easily once rubbed out and burns steadily when given a little patience. A balanced mixture with depth, sweetness and a bit of spice running through it.
