Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation 1855 Erik Peter’s Blend Pipe Tobacco Erik Peter’s Blend reaches further back in the Stokkebye family tree than most. The date 1855 nods toward Erik Peter Stokkebye, one of the early figures in the family’s tobacco trade long before the modern Danish blending houses were established.
The mixture itself is a loose aromatic built on Virginias and Burleys with a portion of black Cavendish to soften the edges. The Virginias lend a gentle natural sweetness, the Burley adds a little body, and the Cavendish rounds everything out so it burns smooth and steady.
Over the top sits a light dressing of honey and fruit, giving the blend a mellow sweetness and a room note that tends to keep the peace indoors. It’s an easy tobacco to pack, lights without much fuss, and settles into a relaxed smoke once it’s underway.
