The Erik Nørding Shorty Teal brings a splash of colour to one of the most inventive pipe designs to emerge from Denmark in recent decades. Created by Erik Nørding and his son Knud, the Shorty was designed for those moments when a traditional pipe feels too large but the pleasure of pipe smoking is still desired.
Its vibrant teal body gives the pipe a cheerful, contemporary appearance, while the crisp white porcelain bowl and black mouthpiece create a striking contrast. The removable porcelain bowl holds a modest charge of tobacco, roughly equivalent to a cigarette, producing a smoke of around twenty minutes. Beneath the bowl sits a chamber filled with Nørding's famous filter stones, made from a naturally absorbent volcanic clay found in Denmark's Limfjord region. These stones draw away moisture during the smoke, helping to provide a cooler and drier experience.
Compact, lightweight and easy to carry, the Shorty Teal is ideal for travel, short breaks or anyone looking for something a little different from the traditional briar pipe. It is a fine example of Danish ingenuity paired with practical everyday use.
