Ashton William Ashton Taylor started his tobacco journey as a pipe maker's apprentice in the Dunhill Factory. After learning the trade of pipe making, Ashton opened his own factory in 1983 and quickly set about becoming one of the worlds most renowned pipe makers. In partnership with Robert McConnell the next obvious step was to create a range of pipe tobaccos using only the highest quality ingredients and the rest, they say, is history.

Ashton Smooth Sailing Pipe Tobacco A blend of very light lemon Virginia, Gold Virginia and rich Cavendish that has been topped with Rum, Dark Chocolate and Maple with a hint of Coconut. The casings aren't particularly strong, allowing the tobacco flavours to shine through providing a wonderfully smooth and well balanced aromatic smoke.
