The Peterson Outdoor series are lovely little pocket pipes ideally suited to the outdoor environment.

The Peterson Outdoor Tankard is a straight poker with reserved proportions and is probably one of the most striking shapes in the Peterson line up. A nice deep bowl gives a generous fill for the size of the pipe yet still smokes smaller fills very well and has a flat bottom which enables the pipe to stand unaided while resting which is great for keeping the sideboard clear of ash and you in the good books with the other half.

The small size of the outdoor series enables easy storage and reduces damage to the pipe when open to the elements. Any experienced pipe smoker will tell you it is bad practice to smoke any pipe in windy conditions as the draught will cause the pipe to flame and fire up consequently burning the bowl. Although the Outdoor series is not exempt from this advice a smaller pipe will suffer less.

Besides the practical advantages, the outdoor series are a stunning looking pipe and for their size smoke remarkably cool and dry true to the Peterson nature!

Fishtail mouthpiece: Petersons trademark patented mouthpiece is the p.lip design, which has many advantages but unfortunately some smokers just don't get on with it. To make the new outdoor series available to all smokers they have incorporated the fishtail.
