The Peterson Outdoor series are lovely little pocket pipes ideally suited to the outdoor environment.

The Peterson Outdoor 124 is a straight briar with a fairly tall, attractive Zulu / Yachtsman shaped bowl. The bowl is slightly offset, which helps keep the pipe away from the face, whilst still keeping an elegant silhouette. First seen in the 1945 catalogue where it was described as a Dublin it disappeared in the literature until the mid 1960's where it resurfaced with a 6.25" mouthpiece and 1/8th bend before disappearing again until 1983 when it came back in the Shamrock line.

The small size of the outdoor series enables easy storage and reduces damage to the pipe when open to the elements. Any experienced pipe smoker will tell you it is bad practice to smoke any pipe in windy conditions as the draught will cause the pipe to flame and fire up consequently burning the bowl. Although the Outdoor series is not exempt from this advice a smaller pipe will suffer less.

Besides the practical advantages, the outdoor series are a stunning looking pipe and for their size smoke remarkably cool and dry true to the Peterson nature!

Fishtail mouthpiece: Petersons trademark patented mouthpiece is the p.lip design, which has many advantages but unfortunately some smokers just don't get on with it. To make the new outdoor series available to all smokers they have incorporated the fishtail.
