The Peterson Rosslare 150 9mm is a proper straight Bulldog — squat, sturdy, and full of character. If the bent Billiard is a gentleman in a bowler hat, the Bulldog wears a flat cap and nods with a wink. And this one — with its crisp bead lines, diamond shank, and gleaming silver — wears it well.

The 150 shape is one of the great classics of the pipe world, and Peterson does it with a distinctly Irish touch. The bowl is broad and low, giving a generous chamber that’s still comfortable in the hand. The diamond shank is fitted with a striking sterling silver spigot mount, which, unlike the simpler army mount, reinforces both stem and shank for a stronger fit and a touch of distinction.
