The Erik Nørding Shorty Orange brings a splash of colour to one of the most inventive pipe designs to come out of Denmark in recent decades. Conceived by Erik Nørding and his son Knud, the Shorty was designed for those occasions when a traditional hour-long pipe smoke simply is not practical.
Its vivid orange finish stands out immediately, contrasting with the bright white porcelain bowl and black stem to create a pipe with plenty of character. Compact and lightweight, it slips easily into a pocket and is perfectly suited to travel, walking, fishing trips or a quiet break during the day.
The Shorty differs from conventional briar pipes through its use of a removable porcelain bowl and a chamber filled with specially developed Nørding Filter Stones. Produced from volcanic clay sourced from Denmark's Limfjord region, these stones absorb excess moisture and help create a cooler, drier smoke. With a bowl capacity comparable to a cigarette, the Shorty provides roughly twenty minutes of enjoyable smoking time.
Distinctive in appearance and practical in design, the Shorty Orange demonstrates Erik Nørding's talent for combining innovation with everyday usability.
