The Harmony series showcases Erik Nørding’s ability to transform a smoking pipe into a miniature work of art. Every example is individually decorated, ensuring that each pipe possesses its own character and atmosphere.
Harmony 717 captures the calm beauty of a woodland clearing. Soft natural tones cover the bowl, decorated with delicate trees, gentle foliage and wildlife hidden amongst the landscape. A deer can be seen quietly resting within the scene, while a bird glides overhead, adding movement to an otherwise peaceful countryside setting. The pale finish gives the pipe a light, airy appearance, perfectly complemented by the cream-coloured acrylic stem. Around the bowl, the natural plateau rim remains untouched, preserving the rugged character of the briar and providing a pleasing contrast to the artwork below.
Since the rise of the Danish freehand movement, Erik Nørding has been recognised for creating pipes that celebrate both craftsmanship and individuality. The Harmony 717 continues that tradition, combining functional pipe making with artistic expression. As an unfiltered pipe, it delivers a direct smoking experience wrapped within a design that reflects the tranquillity of the natural world.
