Few finishes transform a freehand pipe quite like ebony. The deep black stain of the Erik Nørding Ebony Briar Line 701 gives this distinctive shape an entirely different character, highlighting every contour and carved facet with remarkable effect.

The 701 features a tall, sculptural bowl with sweeping vertical panels carved into the briar, creating a sense of movement from rim to heel. The rich ebony finish lends the pipe a striking appearance while still allowing the underlying grain to subtly reveal itself beneath the polished surface. Around the rim, areas of natural plateau remain visible, providing texture and reminding the smoker of the briar’s origins beneath the craftsmanship.
