Brebbia Brebbia was initially the result of a partnership between Brebbia founder Enea Buzzi and Achille Savinelli of Savinelli pipes, the pair began manufacturing pipes in 1947 in Italy and now produce nearly 35 thousand air cured briar pipes annually. Brebbia continue an almost 70 year tradition of pipe making, following the same 50 step process, They use the same antique machine lathes for the early stages of pipe production while finishing every piece by hand. The designs are modern takes on Italian classics, and are often smooth, sandblasted in a tumbler or wire wheel rusticated. Some of the stems are hand cut from cumberland rod, but the majority are preform vulcanite or acrylic bits, and all tenons are a Brebbia designed inserted tenon which often fit a sleeved mortise.

Reverse Calabash Featuring a rather unique design, the Brebbia Reverse Calabash is the same idea as a traditional calabash, There is a larger second chamber that allows the smoke to cool before entering your mouth. The "reverse" part comes in because the smoke cools inside the shank rather than beneath the bowl. The entire shank has been drilled out to 20mm wide and 40mm deep so is a fairly hefty chamber for such a small pipe. Finished in a jet black stain then sandblasted and fitted with a black acrylic stem.
