Great British Classics Lovat The Great British Classics range offer a large selection of classic British pipe shapes at a price that won't break the bank. These pipes are hand finished in Italy from quality Italian briar and offer unparalleled value for money. The Lovat belongs to the Canadian family of shapes, which are derived from the classic billiard shape. A lovat pipe has a cylindrical bowl that is slightly canted forward, a round shank that is longer than the height of the bowl, and a short saddle stem that has a whistle-like shape. The saddle stem is the main feature that distinguishes the lovat from the Canadian, which has a regular stem. The lovat pipe is often straight, easy to hold, and produces a smooth and dry smoke. The smooth finish and light stain aids the pipe in showing its beautiful natural grain.
