2018 was a sad year for fans of Dunhill tobacco when they announced that they were discontinuing all of their tobaccos for good. Thankfully Peterson have come to the rescue in 2019 and have released all the Dunhill blends you love rebranded under the Peterson name. And to top it off, the recipes remain exactly the same, the only difference is the branding on the tin. So you can be assured that the tobacco you get is the one you know and love.
Peterson Light Flake:
The Peterson Dark Flake is a heralded vintage blend of choice Virginias and a little Perique for spice. Bolder in strength and flavor than Dunhill Flake this is once again available and offers a wonderful option for those who enjoy fuller-bodied, matured Virginias with a measure of zesty Perique. The brown and mahogany-colored flakes offer a dark fruit sweetness to the tin note, along with hints of hay and tea.
Flake Pipe Tobacco:
As the name suggests the Peterson Flake is a flake tobacco. Flake tobacco usually requires rubbing (breaking up) before it can be smoked. The tobacco can be rubbed to the smokers preference depending on whether they prefer a slow or fast burn rate.
