The HAU201502 Windflame Petrol Lighter is based on an old and thoroughly practical approach to lighter design. Rather than leaving the flame entirely exposed, the hinged top incorporates a raised outlet which helps shelter it from a troublesome breeze. It is the sort of mechanical solution that dates from an age when a lighter was expected to be refillable, serviceable and kept for rather longer than a fortnight.

The chrome body has a pleasingly traditional appearance, with fine vertical detailing, a textured section around the ignition and a simple polished side panel. Ignition is by the familiar flint-wheel arrangement, while the lighter runs on standard lighter petrol and can be refilled as required.
