The Drew Estate Blackened S84 Shade to Black takes everything people loved about the brutal richness of the M81 and flips it completely on its head.

Created by Drew Estate, Metallica’s James Hetfield and BLACKENED Whiskey’s Rob Dietrich, the S84 “Shade to Black” delivers a smoother, creamier and more refined smoke while still carrying that unmistakable Blackened character underneath. This is the lighter side of the project — but don’t mistake lighter for boring.

Wrapped in a silky Ecuador Connecticut Shade wrapper over a rich Connecticut River Valley Broadleaf binder and Nicaraguan fillers, the S84 opens with creamy cedar, toasted nuts and buttery smooth smoke before slowly building layers of earth, white pepper and subtle sweetness.

The aroma off these cigars is incredible too. Fresh cedar, cream and warm toasted tobacco pour out before you’ve even clipped the cap. It smells clean, rich and dangerously inviting.

Where the M81 is loud, dark and aggressive… The S84 is controlled, balanced and smooth as hell.

Still unmistakably Drew Estate. Still loaded with flavour. Just dressed in a cream suit instead of black leather.
