The Dr Plumb Dark, Lightweight is a London made, quality briar, pocket pipe, with a bent tapered stem and billiard shaped, smooth, briar bowl. It has been finished with a Deep brown stain, which adds character whilst still showing the natural shades and grain of the briar. They have a nice compromise of being small for the pocket, whilst still having a long enough stem to provide a cool smoke. This is also helped by incorporating the re-usable metal filter system, which as well as filtering cools the smoke further. They still have fairly thin walls so are not suited for long fireside sessions.

The Dr Plumbs Lightweights incorporate the re-usable metal filter system. The metal filter is suspended in the middle of a moisture trap, which forces the smoke to spiral round the cool metal before entering the stem. This causes condensation, which naturally removes tar and moisture deposits from the smoke trapping them in the shank for a cool pleasant smoking experience. Simply wipe clean in between smokes.

The metal filter can be removed if wished for smokers who prefer an un-restricted full on smoking experience.
