Tatuaje Cigars: Tatuaje cigars produce Nicaraguan puros that are handmade in Esteli, Nicaragua by the most highly-skilled torcedors under the guidance of Cuban “maestro tabaquero”, Jose Pepin Garcia using traditional Cuban methods that gave rise to the Cuban market domination. As new world Cigars make a comeback Pete Johnson of Tatuaje Cigars has taken some of the methods that made Cubans their name with his own unique character thrown in. All Tatuaje cigars have received favourable ratings from Cigar Aficionado, most of them rating in the 90+ categories.

Black Label Private Reserve Longtime fans of Tatuaje probably know the history of the brand by heart, but for everyone else the story goes like this: after a trip that owner Pete Johnson took to Cuba during the early part of his career as a cigar maker, he met a man who was kind enough to gift him a cigar described as the man’s personal blend. Johnson liked the cigar so much that upon returning to the United States, he decided to try and recreate that blend, and thus the Private Reserve was born. The Toro incorporates the same blend as the existing releases. Black Pepper and Cinnamon spice fades into a creamy cedar with additional notes of leather, earth, salty peanuts and bitter espresso fighting for their respective places.

Loose boxed: Tatuaje Cigars are packaged loose in a branded box. The cigars are kept in our humidors until dispatch and preferably should be stored in a humidor as soon as you receive them. If you are planning on smoking them within a couple of weeks the cigars should be okay as long as they are kept sealed in a cool dark place.

Preparation: Please note the Tatuaje Cigars are premium hand-rolled cigars and therefore require cutting or punching before they can be enjoyed.
