The Fiammata Grado AA series reflects Paronelli’s long-standing reverence for the natural beauty of briar. This Liverpool, with its slender shank and restrained line, celebrates the clean architecture of classic English form interpreted through Italian sensibility. The flame grain — straight and luminous — dances across the bowl, a testament to careful curing and skillful shaping.
Each pipe in this grade is chosen from the finest plateau blocks, free of fills and finished in a soft, natural tone that allows the wood to speak for itself. The marbled acrylic stem adds just enough warmth to complement the pale glow of the briar, creating a quiet harmony of colour and proportion. In the hand, it feels balanced and alert — a craftsman’s pipe, built for steady enjoyment rather than display.
Paronelli’s workshop, founded by Jean Marie Alberto Paronelli, remains one of Italy’s few that continue to hand-turn every pipe in-house, keeping alive the tradition of Italian artistry rooted in respect for the wood.
