Oliva Cigar Family:
The Oliva family is one of the most well regarded and respected Cigar making families in the world. They produce some of the finest and most sort after Cigars in the world with more award winning Cigars than we could ever dream of fitting on this page.
Their roots stem back to 1886 when Melanio Oliva first grew Tobacco in Cuba and took great pride in growing the finest Tobacco possible. Over the years, he established a family tradition of quality that has echoed through the generations and has refused to enter the mass production out of pride to ensure that only the finest Cigars bear their family name.
Every aspect of the process from sowing the seeds to the final rolling and even the manufacture of the boxes is done by the Oliva family in Esteli, Nicaragua to ensure they maintain full control over the quality. Patience is foremost, where other companies rush the curing process Oliva show great restraint to ensure their leaves are well cured and behold no bitter flavours.
Oliva Serie O:
Serie O Natural is a Nicaraguan Puro that boasts the usual flawless construction and quality we have come to expect from the Oliva family. Made using the traditional Cuban method of growing the same Habano seed in diverse regions of the country to produce the distinct flavour and texture variations that gave Cuban Cigars their reputation. This blend was achieved by growing Habano in Esteli, Condega and Jalapa Valley.
The Cigar comprises of various Nicaraguan Habano leaves from across the spectrum of the plant for the Filler and Binder before being finished with a flawless Sungrown Habano Wrapper.
The result is a smooth medium bodied Cigar with notes of toast, spice,rich Cedar and touch of Coffee.
The Oliva Tubos range are supplied in a Cedar lined Aluminium tube which help protect the cigars delicate wrapper and retain the moisture in the cigar. The Cedar lining helps develop the flavour meaning your cigar can be ageing for a few years while you await that special occasion. During storage the Cigar should be kept in a cool dark place or can be removed from the tube for storage in a humidor.
