La Galera La Galera is a cigar brand created by José “Jochy” Blanco, a Dominican Republic cigar expert. His factory in Tamboril, Tabacalera Palma, has been making cigars since 1936. The name “La Galera” comes from the rolling room, which is the heart of any good cigar factory. That’s where skilled workers, patience, and discipline come together in harmony. The soft tapping of tobacco and the low hum of conversations that have been going on for generations create a special atmosphere.

Connecticut The Connecticut series features a lighter hand from Blanco. It’s a golden Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Dominican Piloto Cubano binder with long fillers of Piloto and Criollo ’98. It’s creamy, nutty, and just a touch sweet on the draw with a polished undercurrent of oak and fresh hay.
