Crowned Heads Broadway Epicure – Single Loose Cigar There's a bit of Nashville character about Crowned Heads. The company was established in Tennessee in 2011, and its cigars have always drawn inspiration from music, history and the sort of stories that make a good conversation across a tobacconist's counter.

The Broadway Epicure carries that musical connection in its very name. Broadway is one of Nashville's best-known streets, famous for its honky-tonk bars, live music and a rather lively atmosphere once the sun goes down.

This particular cigar makes quite an impression before you've even taken it out of its sleeve. The wrapper has a handsome brown colour, while the elaborate red and gold band features the Crowned Heads emblem alongside a nod to the company's Tennessee roots.

There's also a dark blue ribbon around the foot, which adds a striking contrast to the warm tones of the tobacco and the decorative band.

I've always appreciated a cigar brand with a story behind it, particularly when that story involves a city with as much musical history as Nashville.
