No, Cornell & Diehl have crafted something refined yet lively, gentle yet complex. It’s a perfect companion for a quiet afternoon in the garden or a contemplative stroll through your thoughts.

It’s a Virginia-Oriental-Perique mixture, with the ideal proportions. The bright and red Virginias provide a honeyed, hay-like foundation. The Orientals (Izmir, if you’re curious) add a touch of herbal tang—a hint of the exotic, but not so much that it overpowers the entire blend. Then comes the Perique with a bit of depth and plum-dark richness, never overwhelming, but rather grounding the flavours nicely.

We find it smokes cool and crisp, especially in a taller bowl. The cutting style—mostly ribbon with a bit of rough flake and broken leaf—makes packing a breeze. You’ll savour sweetness, spice, a touch of sour, and all of it in perfect balance.
