Christmas pipes have a habit of ending up in display cabinets. This one deserves better.

The Chacom Noël 2025 F4 is built to be smoked, admired, then smoked again. The deep crimson sandblast has the sort of warmth you'd expect from a December evening, while the ivory-coloured acrylic stem gives the whole pipe a festive elegance without looking as though Father Christmas designed it after two glasses of sherry.

The bent F4 shape is a lovely all-rounder. Comfortable in the hand, easy between the teeth and fitted with a generous bowl that settles you in rather than hurrying you along. The sandblast follows the grain beautifully, giving the briar plenty of character and a texture that's satisfying every time you pick it up.

Chacom have been making pipes in Saint-Claude for nearly two centuries, and they still know how to put together something that feels special. Open the box in December and you'll smile. Light it in July and you'll remember why you bought it.
