### Brick House Classic Natural Corona – Box of 25 Cigars

The name Brick House comes from a rather personal piece of cigar history. Long before J.C. Newman established his cigar business in America, his family lived in a brick house in Hungary, remembered as a welcoming place where friends gathered, stories were exchanged and tobacco was enjoyed.

When Newman introduced the Brick House cigar in 1937, he borrowed the name from those memories. Nearly ninety years later, it remains a fitting name for one of the company's most recognisable ranges.

The Brick House Classic Natural Corona is handmade in Nicaragua using Nicaraguan binder and long-filler tobaccos beneath an Ecuadorian Havana Subido wrapper. Measuring 5 inches with a 42 ring gauge, it's a traditional Corona with a pleasingly concentrated flavour.

Expect earthy tobacco, cedar and toasted nuts, developing alongside roasted coffee and a lively peppery spice. The medium-to-full-bodied blend has plenty of character, while the narrower ring gauge gives the wrapper an influential role in the overall flavour.

There's something particularly appealing about the presentation. The box of 25 is made from natural wood, with a rich red front panel, decorative gold detailing and an illustration of the original Brick House beneath the lid. Inside, the individually cellophane-wrapped cigars are arranged beneath a green ribbon.

J.C. Newman founded his company in 1895, and the business remains family-owned. Brick House continues that long tradition, combining classic cigar proportions with the richer tobacco character associated with Nicaragua.

The Corona is a particularly agreeable size for those who appreciate a traditional cigar. A full box of 25 makes an attractive addition to the humidor, especially when the intention is to keep a dependable favourite close at hand.

And there's a certain satisfaction in lifting the lid of a wooden cigar box. It's one of those small pleasures that modern packaging has never quite managed to improve upon.
