The Zippo 48774 Psychedelic Swirl Lighter looks less like a lighter and more like somebody’s accidentally opened a portal to another dimension after fiddling with a lava lamp.

Completely bonkers.

But in a very good way.

The swirling neon colours twist across the case like smoke under nightclub lighting — glow in the dark greens, reds, blues and electric yellows all melting together in that wonderfully hypnotic psychedelic style that makes your eyes do a double take.

You can stare at this thing for quite a while and still notice new shapes in it. Either very clever artwork… or it’s trying to communicate with us.

Hard to say.

Despite the gloriously chaotic design, it’s still every bit a proper Zippo lighter underneath — windproof, refillable, solid metal construction and built to survive years rattling around in pockets, gloveboxes and pub tables.

And naturally, it still opens with that famous Zippo click that sounds like quality every single time.
