The Zippo 48636 Mystic Nature Lighter looks like it ought to come wrapped in velvet alongside an old book nobody’s entirely sure should be opened.

Finished with a striking celestial design featuring moon phases, stars and a twisting tree silhouette, it’s got that slightly mysterious “found in an antique cabinet” sort of charm about it. Dark, atmospheric and rather handsome without drifting into full crystal-shop madness.

The artwork really suits the black finish too. Gold detailing against the darker background gives it a proper old occult illustration feel — the sort of thing you imagine hanging in an observatory where somebody’s been studying the stars instead of paying council tax.

Thankfully, underneath all the mysticism, it’s still a proper genuine Zippo. Windproof, solid in the hand and built with the same all-metal construction that’s made Zippo lighters famous for generations.
