Savinelli Granola Rustic Natural 6mm Briar Pipes
Savinelli Granola Briar Pipe:
Part of their Natural series, the Granola features a composite acrylic stem made from warm browns, yellows and whites that is reminiscent of the mixed cereal. The bowls are left unstained and given a smooth finish running along the shank and along the bottom of the bowl before being given the Savinelli rustication process around the bowl. The Granola pipes have a natural pastoral feel to them and are just stunning in their simplicity. Sometimes less is more and that is evident with these wonderful cleanly designed pipes. The Granola have been given a "raw" rusticated finish, or rather a finish that has no stain. Pipes with no finish are not very common, because without the covering there is no place for any imperfection in the briar to hide.
6mm Balsa wood filter
Unique to Savinelli is their Balsa wood filter system. The shape does not form a seal in the bore of the pipe so allows an unrestricted full flavoured draw but the extremely porous and highly absorbent nature of the Balsa wood is very effective at removing moisture and impurities from the smoke. The filter can be removed for those who prefer a totally unrestricted full on smoke.
