The Tommaso Spanu Olivastro Classico represents one of the few pipes in the world made entirely in-house—from the harvesting of the wood to the final polish. Carved from Sardinian olivewood, the bowl bears the rippled honey-gold grain unique to the island’s trees, polished to a soft sheen that glows in the hand. The contrasting briar collar and hand-cut ebonite stem show Spanu’s devotion to both material harmony and craftsmanship, with the tiny brass pin neatly set as his maker’s mark.

Spanu’s workshop near Sassari is legendary; every pipe is shaped, cured, and finished from locally sourced material, reflecting the natural tones of the Mediterranean landscape. The Olivastro Classico captures that heritage in its simplest form—a clean, classic billiard rendered in living wood, light yet resonant, carrying the faint scent of olive oil and sea air.
