Stanwell Special Edition Stanwell has had some turbulent times in the UK for the last few years as distributors have changed and supply has been disrupted. We are delighted that the tide has turned as normal standards have been restored to the point we were even offered the limited editions. We snapped them up without a second thought. Stanwells limited edition pipes are always something special without being too abstract and we think the 2015's are the best offerings from Stanwells boutique carvers to date. This special edition series has been produced to celebrate the Larsen brand and to signify this they have included a deluxe satin chrome Larsen pipe tool to make preparing this special pipe a sublime experience.

Stanwell Special Edition 2015 What can we say about Stanwells 2015 special edition apart from quite simply stunning! This years is a very elegant half bent panel with perfect proportions for a very well balanced and desirable shape. The pipe is finished with a wide saddle mouthpiece and 925 Silver band. These offerings from Stanwell just ooze class and has got the pipe world drooling! Stanwell reserve the years best Briar blocks especially for their special editions and they are almost flawless with beautiful grain patterns! Nothing enhances a grain better than sandblasting when it's done properly by experienced craftsmen with quality Briar blocks. Stanwell have obviously set their most skilled to work on the special blocks for the 2015 special editions. The grain is simply jaw dropping and the contrast of the smooth polished rim on the bowl is something to be admired!

W O Larsen Deluxe Satin Chrome Pipe Tool * Length: 91mm * Diameter: 10.5mm Included with the 2015 special edition is a beautiful precision engineered pipe tool. A nice size for the pocket with smooth unobtrusive edges the pipe tool simply unscrews to reveal a Brass tamper. Unscrew the base and you have a separate pipe scraper and shank cleaner.

9mm Absorbent Filter The Stanwell special edition 2015 is designed for use with the absorbent 9mm Filters. The larger diameter allows more smoke to pass through the filter, with less restriction, which makes for a better draw compared to the 6mm filters. The 9mm pipe filters has a very high surface area resulting in excellent absorption of the tar as the smoke passes through without affecting draw or flavour. No mess no fuss, simply throw the filter in the bin when it turns a dark brown colour. The pipes have a standard 9mm bore so can be used with any brand of 9mm filter if preferred. Alternatively the filter can be removed altogether for smokers who prefer a totally unrestricted full on smoke.
