Peterson Short Classic Briar Pipes:
The short classic are a high grade spin off of the characterful Peterson Speciality series. A higher grade of briar with very few flaws, that gives passage to a beautiful light stain which enhances the beautiful grain before Peterson’s silver smith gets to work on the 925 Sterling silver band and Amber coloured stem.
They are more reserved in size which makes them very popular for the smoker looking for a pocket friendly companion. The smaller bore also makes an ideal pipe for the occasional smoker or daytime pipe for those who only get a short break during the day. They are very light so do not require a good grip and puts very little strain on the teeth.
Peterson Short Classic Tankard Pipe:
The Tankard is a straight Poker with reserved proportions and is probably one of the most striking shapes in the speciality line up. Here at the Black Swan Specialist Tobacconist we are big fans of the Poker and it is very rare we’ll pass up the opportunity to add another to our collection.
A nice deep bowl gives a generous fill for the size of the pipe yet still smokes smaller fills very well. It feels less dainty than the other pipes speciality series and has a flat bottom which enables the pipe to stand unaided while resting which is great for keeping the sideboard clear of ash and you in the good books with the other half.
Peterson’s trademark patented mouthpiece is the p.lip design, which has many advantages but unfortunately some smokers just don’t get on with it. The Donegal series comes with the fishtail mouthpiece as an alternative for those who don’t get on with the P.Lip.
