Peterson Flame Grain Spigots:
Peterson spigots are notoriously rare and usually take pride of place in any collection. The Spigot evolved on the front lines as soldiers repaired their pipe with a spent cartridge. Peterson evolved this into hallmarked sterling silver band and tapered fitting on the stem of a high grade pipe. The flame Grain is probably one of the most desired Peterson finishes, it has a lovely light matt brown colour which highlights the grain beautifully and looks simply stunning against the amber stem. As the name would suggest each pipe has a wonderful tight flame grain, which comes from using the outer sections of the Briar root where the grain is straighter and more uniformed. We have limited numbers of each model so if you’d like one we recommend being quick.
Peterson Flame Grain Spigot 68:
The Peterson Flame Grain Spigot 68 is the big brother to the 221. It is a full bent briar with a large, slightly tapered billiard bowl. It is quite dramatically bigger than the 221 with a larger bore for a bigger fill or all the better for scrounging a fill with. It has good thick walls to keep the pipe smoking cool and sweet and as with all the spigots there is a hall marked sterling silver military mount. This is a tapered fitting meaning the fit will never wear loose. A fantastic addition to any collection.
Petersons trademark patented mouthpiece is the p.lip design, which has many advantages but unfortunately some smokers just don’t get on with it. The Spigot series comes with the fishtail mouthpiece as an alternative for those who don’t get on with the P.Lip.
