Peterson Dracula Series:
The Peterson Dracula series is a new line from Petersons and has to be one of the most exciting and unique ranges we’ve seen for a while. However from the outset they have been surrounded by excitement and controversy. The UK allocation sold out within hours and we were informed that they were a limited edition range and that no more where being made. However we have been informed that this is not the case, just that demand was just far higher than had been anticipated and Petersons (despite being the biggest pipe manufacturer in the world) didn’t have the ability to supply demand. We have been informed that the Dracula series is to be a permanent line but supply will be sporadic so we recommend buying sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.
Peterson 68 Shape:
The Peterson Dracula 68 is the big brother to the 221. It is a full bent briar with a large, slightly tapered billiard bowl. It is quite dramatically bigger than the 221 with a larger bore for a bigger fill or all the better for scrounging a fill with. It has good thick walls to keep the pipe smoking cool and sweet. The bowl is finished in a Black ebony stain and what is undoubtedly the most striking stem we have ever seen before being finished with a Nickel band branded with a Dracula logo.
The pattern on the stem is unique to every pipe and varies considerably so every pipe is a one off and will not be exactly as pictured.
The standard mouthpiece for most pipe manufacturers. The fishtail has the exit hole in the end of the mouthpiece. The end of the mouthpiece is flat, which some people find easier to grip, and suits the smoker who doesn’t get on with the p.lip style.
The marbled mouthpiece in this picture is a one off and is unlikely to be the exact mouthpiece you will receive. There is variation from pipe to pipe with substantial differences in colours, patterns and marbling.
