Peterson Arklow Originally Debuting in 2017 as a retailer exclusive series, the Arklow has been recently revived to showcase Peterson’s passion for sandblasted finishes. The Arklow, is named after one of the oldest towns, in County Wicklow on the eastern coast. The Vikings established it in the 9th century, although many archeologists believe the Vikings built their town on a site established as early as the 2nd century. In this series, a number of the most popular shapes have been paired with a warm 2-tone walnut stain, a bright nickel army mount, and a stunning sandblasted finish, revealing each blocks natural grain patterns in vivid relief.
Peterson Arklow 999 The Peterson Arklow 999 is a very distinctive classic Bulldog with a round shank and the classic double groove round the bowl. A design classic, which is also popular due to being comfortable in the hand. The double groove aids cooling in the same way as a car radiator, which helps keep the bowl cool and in turn the smoke cooler and smoother.
Peterson 9mm Filter Pipes Peterson Filter pipes are strictly speaking not system pipes but by adding space for a 9mm filter if you were to smoke the pipe without a filter there is a large chamber which is effectively a moisture trap. The bore hole does not have the same exaggerated graduation but it is still there to a degree meaning it will smoke better than the average pipe. So smoked with or without the absorbent 9mm filter in place there are very few pipes that will smoke cooler or sweeter.
Fishtail mouthpiece: Peterson’s trademark patented mouthpiece is the p.lip design, which has many advantages but unfortunately some smokers just don't get on with it. The Arklow series comes with the fishtail mouthpiece as an alternative for those who don't get on with the P.Lip.
