Northern Briars Ian Walker Ian Walker has Briar roots as he is the third generation pipe maker in the Walker family. And even better he is British!! Yes, there are a handful of British pipe makers left and they are doing our nation proud. Ian Walker hand carves his creations on a narrowboat in the Cheshire countryside. Alongside the traditional English shapes, he is very fond of the peace and tranquillity has helped him create some of his unique shapes to show of his talent that no others can match.

Northern Briar Premier Freehand Pipe This pipe is a stunner! Slightly offset on the stem means it fits so comfortably in the hand, the striking freehand tomahawk design has been carefully shaped with the perfect flame grain running from the point up to the plateaux edge around the bowl with a little heel below the shank which is a perfect resting place for your fingers. The pipe has a very distinct thick Briar wall for a very cool smoking pipe. The bore is very generous for those days when time is plentiful.
