A Branded Ceramic Storage Jar Containing 20 H.Upmann Magnum 56 Cuban Cigars!

The Upmann brand was founded in 1844 by the Upmann brothers who were two wealthy bankers with a healthy appreciation for the smoking qualities of hand rolled cigars combined with the Cuban flavour. However they found the majority of Cubans around at the time were too strong to enjoy comfortably. The Upmann was therefore introduced to fill this void and are now a household name and one of the most popular cigars in our humidors.

Originally intended for sale exclusively in Travel Retail shops around the world, Habanos S.A. has approved the release of a limited number of these beautiful and highly sought after ceramic jars for sale in the UK. Each jar contains 20 H.Upmann 56, a cigar first seen in 2015 as a limited edition but proved very popular for collectors and connoisseurs that they quickly sold out. These are presented in a stunning ceramic jar which have been used to store Havanas since the 18th century and many experts agree that they remain one of the best options for long term aging. The Jar comes with a humidification source in the lid.

The appearance of the Magnum 56 really turns some heads, its double Robusto size with its Colorado wrapper and stylish red band really looks the part. The construction is very good, it has a comfortable draw and produces a satisfying, thick, white smoke. From the start there are essences of mild cedar and black pepper, which gradually progress into smooth and creamy chocolate and coffee flavours. Then if you make it to the end still wanting more there is a good transition into a satisfying dry roasted coffee. The Upmann are a mild flavoured cigar, which in general will be enjoyed by all levels of smokers but beware of the Magnum 56's heavy gauge and burn time. It is probably one of the most manageable cigars of this size but still requires a substantial commitment.

Hand Rolled: The tradition of being rolled on a maidens thy can be questioned but the added quality a cigar beholds from being hand rolled by an experienced Cigar Roller cannot. Each cigar is rolled to the same density with full length filler (leaves), providing the perfect draw and ash build up, which cannot be matched by a machine.

Please note the H.Upmann cigars require cutting or punching before they can be enjoyed.
