Fonseca Don Francisco Fonseca first started manufacturing cigars in 1892 and registered the brand as it stands today in 1907. A stylish and handsome man, who cared passionately about his appearance, he passed his sartorial meticulousness on to his cigars, which he dressed in silky Japanese tissue paper - a tradition that lives on to this day on all the cigars that bear his name.

Fonseca No.1 The Fonseca No.1 is 43 gauge Cazadore which incorporates leaves from the Semi Vuelta zone. Rich yet mild, the No.1 is a perfectly balanced cigar with an interesting woody start that develops into some complex peppery notes. Fonseca cigars are rare, with very limited distribution.

Loose Boxed: When the Fonseca factory package their cigars in 10's they are packaged loose in a Cedar lined box. This helps the cigars to develop and flavours to diffuse. They are stored in our humidors until dispatch and ideally should be transferred directly into a humidor. If you are buying them for a special occasion they should keep for up to a week in a cool, dark place.

Hand Rolled: The tradition of being rolled on a maiden's thy can be questioned but the added quality a cigar beholds from being hand rolled by an experienced Cigar Roller cannot. Each cigar is rolled to the same density with full length filler (leaves), providing the perfect draw and ash build up, which cannot be matched by a machine.

Please note the Fonseca cigars require cutting or punching before they can be enjoyed.
