Falcon Coolway In 1936 Falcon raised the game and rocked the pipe world with the introduction of the spiralling aluminium stem and removable briar bowl. In the pipe world this was the equivalent of un strapping the horses from your carriage, burning your hay stack, sacking your stable master and strapping a combustion engine to the axle! Ever since Falcon has dominated the cost effective pipe market but with the increase of the price of raw materials Falcon has decided to offer a cost effective straight full briar pipe.
The new Falcon Coolway is not a high end hand carved briar pipe but it is a good quality Briar pipe ideal for the novice pipe smoker or for those of you who seem to be able to break a pipe just by looking at it. They don't require extensive breaking in and they are a good size to offer a cool and smooth smoke.

Falcon Coolway 106 9mm The Falcon Coolway No.106 is a little out of the ordinary shape wise, which is rare on a budget end pipe. It took us a while on the shape charts to find anything similar as it is somewhere between a Billiard and a Chimney with a bent stem. Well that's what we reckon anyway. Feel free to correct us if you want or just look at the picture rather than relying on our descriptions. (We are an overworked bunch so help rather than criticisms of our descriptions is much appreciated.) Anyhow before we loose track the 106 Chimney/Billiard is a nice large pipe with deep bore and good briar walls for a cool smoking pipes. The exaggerated curve in the stem forces the smoke at an unnatural angle, increasing condensation and therefore making the smoke cooler and sweeter.

9mm Absorbent Filter The Falcon Coolway Briar pipes are designed for use with the Falcon 9mm absorbent stem filters but any 9mm filter can be used if wished. The Falcon Stem filters are shaped to allow channels of unrestricted smooth smoke whilst the high surface area over the thousands of little hairs absorbs the maximum amount impurities and moisture from the smoke.
