The Dr Plumb Quintex De-Luxe is part of Dr Plumbs premium pipe range using the finest select briar and tapered fitting, Military mounted stems, which incorporate a unique filtering system. Briar is the natural root from the Arboria tree and as all woods has slight knots and defects. On rare occasions when a briar block has been shaped, there are no visible knots or scars, these are put on one side and used for the De-Luxe pipes. The top pipe carver is given the bowl to put their many years of skills to use to do justice to the rare piece. It is then finished with a clear stain to show off the perfect, unblemished bowl. The bowl is a fairly standard size and have a fairly thick wall, which doesn’t seem to add much weight but prevents overheating. The stem is the same high quality Lucite as used in the rest of the Dr Plumbs range but is slightly more robust and uses a tapered fitting military mount, which will still provide a very secure, air tight fit after many years of use.

The larger bore of the stem allows a more efficient filter system. There is a bigger filter and moisture trap with more room for the smoke to move around and cool down before moving into the stem. This free movement gives an unrestricted draw, whilst the natural condensation still filters and cools down the smoke for an un-rivalled smoking experience.

This is a generic image that we have taken from a random selection of this pipe model from our stocks. It is unlikely to be the exact pipe you will receive. Due to the nature of the raw material used and this being a handmade product there will be some variation in grain, colour and finish.
There could also be a slight variation in the dimensions provided.
