DB (Design Berlin) DB premier German pipes made a very welcomed return to the UK pipe market in 2012 and on the back of a very successful reception we now have access to their pipe of the year for 2016, which we think is a corking example. DB stands for Design Berlin so for those that aren't that good at Geography these pipes are German made. I'm sure you don't need us to educate you on the reputation of German engineering!

DB Pipe of the Year 2016 The Germans have an outstanding reputation for quality and design so when they loosen the designers reigns once a year they always produce something quite special. The 2016 is another slightly eccentric pipe that we haven't seen before as it's got the eccentricity of a freehand in an immaculately finished body. It's almost a pipe for display but we always encourage our customers to enjoy their pipes not just display them.

The 2016 pipe is a panelled horn shape which is very comfortable to hold and directs the smoke away from the face. The pipe features the usual beautiful styling that we have to come love from DB limited edition pipes.

Another feature we don't often see is the dual bore in the mouthpiece. This makes the stem much stronger and resilient to biting through, whilst providing a smoother more controlled draw. Each pipe is individually numbered as one of only 400 and comes with a certificate of authenticity. (Please contact us for specific numbered models)

Double Channel Twin Bore Stem The DB pipe of the year 2016 incorporates a double smoking channel to provide a cooler smoke, easier draw and better development of the tobacco flavours.

9mm Absorbent Filter The DB Pipe of the year 2016 is designed for use with any 9mm Absorbent Filters but also comes with an adaptor to allow the pipe to be used with a metal condensing filter or without a filter. The larger diameter allows more smoke to pass through the filter, with less restriction, which makes for a better draw compared to the 6mm filters. The highly absorbent filters have a very high surface area resulting in excellent absorption of the tar as the smoke passes through without affecting draw or flavour. No mess no fuss, simply throw the filter in the bin when it turns a dark brown colour. The pipes have a standard 9mm bore so can be used with any brand of 9mm filter if preferred.
