Chacom is a family owned company who can trace their pipe making heritage to 1825 before Briar was even discovered. They are based in St Claude which is widely recognised as the pipe making capital of the world.
They are one of very few pipe manufacturers who make pipes from start to finish. From ageing the Briar right through to hand finishing.
The Chacom City pipes are Chacom’s most popular range handmade using traditional shapes that have stood the test of time.
The pipes are finished in a rich reddish/brown stain which gives great definition of the grain and has a sophisticated feel.
The pipe is finished off with an acrylic stem and inlaid metal chacom logo.
The Chacom City pipes can be smoked with a condensing filter (included) or a 9mm absorbent filter. The larger diameter of a 9mm filter allows more smoke to pass through the filter, with less restriction, which makes for a better draw compared to the 6mm filters. The highly absorbent filters have a very high surface area resulting in excellent absorption of the tar as the smoke passes through without affecting draw or flavour.
The pipes have a standard 9mm bore so can be used with any brand of 9mm filter if preferred. Alternatively the filter can be removed altogether for smokers who prefer a totally un-restricted full on smoke.
This is a generic image that we have taken from a random selection of this pipe model from our stocks. It is unlikely to be the exact pipe you will receive. Due to the nature of the raw material used and this being a handmade product there will be some variation in grain, colour and finish.
There could also be a slight variation in the dimensions provided.
