  The larger global shaving companies have managed to single-handedly manipulate the shaving habits of us mere mortals as we regularly hand over substantial amounts of cash to the cashier on the high street for triple and quadruple blades they have convinced us we need to slot into their cheap plastic razors.

  The reason we need them is due to the poor quality lather that their shaving gels and foam produce. A bad lather sticks the beard to the face and clogs the razor.

  The Parker Butterfly Razor is probably the most recognisable traditional razor on the market. If you can recall someone using a traditional razor in your family it is likely to have looked like the Parker butterfly. They are made of lightweight Chromed steel and the blade can be changed without dismantling the razor. A simple turn of the handle opens the head of the razor in a butterfly motion to reveal the seated razor blade. Simply tap the dulled blade out and drop in a fresh blade.

  The Parker razors will accept any traditional double edged razor blade. We recommend the Platinum coated Merkur blades but the Wilkinson sword blades are a perfectly adequate substitute.
