A heady blend of tangy, sweet fruit Dark Virginia, the stoved Black Cavendish provides a sugary fermented ripe fruitiness and a pinch of Perique gives it almost spicy undertones of raisins, plums and fig, it has then been fermented under pressure into a cake before being sliced into flakes ready for rubbing to the smoker's preference. Even un-smoked the aroma given from a freshly opened tin is wonderful and gives great insight into the smoking characteristics. A companion to Old Gowrie.
